Welcome to Portable Party! This is a fansite dedicated to the translation and archiving of pop'n music portable 2, especially its "Party Mode".
This translation along with the site itself is a huge WIP at the moment, but I hope you enjoy your visit!
(I tried to make the site as mobile-friendly as possible,
but please note that it's better viewed on a computer!)
This site receives slow updates, so please be patient!
☆ What's pop'n music? ☆
Pop'n music is a rhythm game series developed by KONAMI's music game division, BEMANI.
This site focuses on portable 2, a CS port of pop'n music 16 PARTY♪, the 16th arcade installment of the franchise. Which began operation on March 24th; 2008, and ended official support on February 18th; 2009.
Pop'n music portable 2, released on November 23rd; 2011, was the second and final Pop'n Music game on the PlayStation Portable, as well as the last CS port of the series.
☆ What's the Party Mode? ☆
Portable 2's unlock system, a (sort of) story mode in where you will navigate through different areas in a board-like map looking for various people and items to host a party, and thus, unlock songs and characters.
While portable 2 isn't the most lore-heavy pop'n game (it's not like pop'n has that much lore anyway), the interactions between the characters are fun to read (and overanalyze if you're like me teehee), so I really wanted to give it a proper translation. Also, because I love archiving stuff!
But even if the priority of this translation is the Party Mode, I won't limit to that! I'll translate the information on the character profiles and other stuff I find as well. As long as it's related to portable 2 (or pop'n in general if i'm feeling silly enough), it counts!
